Potato Vegetable Chowder

3 Tbsp.butter or margarine
1/4 C. chopped onion
3 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. chicken- flavor instant boullion
1/4 tsp. thyme
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 C. milk
1 C. water
2 C. diced, cooked potatoes
1 C. cooked, cubed ham
9 oz. pkg. frozen mixed vegetables, thawed

In large saucepan over low heat, melt butter.
Stir in onion, saute until tender.
Stir in flour, boullion, thyme, and pepper, cook 1 minute, stirring constantly, until smooth and bubbly.
Gradually stir in milk and water.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture boils.
Stir in potatoes and ham and vegetables.
Reduce heat, simmer, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes.
Makes 4(1 1/2 cup) servings
