Baked Glazed Ham
1 (12 pound) uncooked cured ham
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
2 teaspoons dry mustard
Place ham, fat side up, on rack in roasting pan. Insert meat thermometer in the thickest part of ham without touching the bone. Bake uncovered in preheated 275 degrees F. oven for about 6 hours, or until the meat thermometer registers 160 degrees F. (Allow about 30 minutes per pound.)
Remove from oven; with sharp knife, cut off rind, cut diagonal slashes across fat side of ham, in diamond shapes. Place cloves in corners of diamonds. Mix brown sugar, dry mustard and a little ham fat from roasting pan together; spread over top of ham.
Turn ham up to 400 degrees F.; bake ham until brown sugar forms a glaze.
