Russian Tea CakesRecipe Index: Desserts > Drop CookiesIngredients 1 cup butter 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/4 teaspoon salt Additional confectioners' sugar for rolling cookies 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar 2-1/4 cups flour 3/4 cup chopped nuts Directions Cream butter, sugar and vanilla. Mix dry ingredients together and gradually add to the first mixture. Stir in the chopped nuts and form dough into a ball. Wrap tightly with plastic wrap and chill for at least one hour. When ready to bake, preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Remove dough from the refrigerator and roll pieces of dough into 1 inch balls. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet 10-12 minutes. Cookies should be set but not brown. Roll cookies in confectioners' sugar while they are still warm. Cool and roll again in confectioners' sugar. Makes 2 dozen |
