4 - 5 fresh ripe tomatoes, right off the vine and
still warm from the sun
Salt and fresh ground pepper
10 - 12 slices of good fresh bread
4 Tbsp. mayonnaise
Gently slice tomatoes about 1/3 inch thick. Carefully place the slices on a plate and sprinkle with salt and fresh ground pepper. Lovingly arrange tomatoes on half of the slices of bread. Spread a little mayonnaise on each of the other slices of bread and, with love and affection cover the tomatoes. DO NOT SQUISH DOWN THE SANDWICH OR OTHERWISE EXERT TOO MUCH PRESSURE ON THE TOMATO SLICES! With a very sharp knife, quickly and painlessly cut each sandwich into 4 to 6 even pieces. Serve immediately but only to those who are worthy of this gift.
The Skinny: Use low fat mayo and avoid the urge to eat all the sandwiches by yourself.
